Your home may have photovoltaic (PV), also known as solar panels, installed on the roof. These are designed to help reduce your electricity costs.
If your home has PV panels, they generate electricity during daylight hours which you can use in your home.
There will be a meter in your home, usually near the fuse box. This should be switched on and showing a reading. You do not need to operate the system, but we recommend checking the meter from time to time. If it is not showing a reading, please report this to North Star.
When choosing an electricity supplier, you may wish to ask whether they offer tariffs suitable for homes with solar panels. Tariffs and rates vary, so it’s worth comparing options.
