Accessibility Statement

We aim to provide a website that is accessible for all

We want our website to be easy for everyone to use.

We use a tool called Recite Me to help you change the website in a way that works best for you. For example, it can read text out loud, change colours, and translate into other languages.

Please note: Recite Me does not work on documents or files that you download.

If you need anything in a different format - like large print, audio, or another language - please get in touch.

What makes this website accessible?

We’ve built this website so it’s easy to use for everyone, including people who use assistive technology like screen readers or speech tools.

We aim to meet international accessibility rules called the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2) at level AA. These guidelines explain how to make websites easier to use for disabled people.

Here are some of the things we’ve done:

  • Strong colour contrast to help people read text clearly
  • Text that can be made bigger or smaller
  • A layout that changes to fit your screen
  • Headings used properly so screen readers can understand them
  • Labels on all forms so you know what to type and where
  • Easy keyboard navigation (you can use Tab to move through the site)
  • We use clean website code that works well with screen readers
  • We use alt text for images so you can hear what the image is showing
  • We try to use normal web text instead of PDFs when possible
  • When we do use PDFs, most have basic accessibility features
  • The Recite Me tool helps with reading, styling, and translating pages
