Whilst my career was predominantly in Corporate Banking on the Lending side, I spent several years in operations and leading extensive Change Programmes. Lately, my focus has shifted to Client Satisfaction and working to remove the inhibitors/pain points for our clients. This broad generalist experience enables me to contribute to a diverse range of topics.

Almost all of my immediate family and in-laws have or are living in Social Housing in the North East, so it is a subject to which I already feel involved. I passionately believe that a lovely home and a strong community can make a significant difference in people's lives, and this is something I am proud to be a part of.

I have recently become a first-time Grandad to Eddie, and although my son lives in Baltimore, USA, we often travel to see them, so I feel I know the US particularly well.
