My career was mainly in corporate banking on the lending side, but I also spent valuable time in operations and leading large change programmes. More recently in my working life, I focused on client satisfaction, working to remove barriers and pain points for customers. That broad experience means I can bring a well-rounded perspective to my work with North Star.

Social housing is something I feel very personally connected to. Many members of my family currently live or have lived in social housing in the North East, and I know the difference a secure home and a strong community can make. I am proud to contribute to that mission through my role on the Board and I value the chance to use my skills in a way that supports people and communities across our region.

Family is very important to me. I am a proud grandad to my grandson Eddie, and although my son and his family live in Baltimore, I travel over regularly. As a result, I’ve come to know the US particularly well, and those visits are a real highlight in my life.
