I am a chartered accountant and have held various financial management positions in both private and public sectors. I was recently the Director of Finance and University Secretary at Leeds Trinity University, with responsibilities including strategic and operational financial management, strategic business planning, and leading risk management processes.
Social housing is something I feel very strongly about, with family members living in social housing and benefiting from the stability that wouldn’t be found in the private rented sector. I am keen to use my skills and experience to help North Star support people and communities.
My interests include history, reading, the arts and getting out for a walk (sometimes even with a pint at the end!). Since retiring from working full-time, I am taking advantage of the extra time to travel and spend more time with friends and family.
