We want to make sure our homes are let in a fair and open way. This means we follow clear rules and take into account the needs of people who are looking for a home.
We work closely with local councils to help meet housing needs and to support people who may be facing homelessness. In most areas, we use either the council’s own allocations policy or we are part of a choice-based lettings (CBL) scheme. These schemes allow you to see the available homes and show your interest in them. The councils we work with, and their schemes, are listed below.
All our homes are let in line with the rules set out in the relevant Allocations Policy.
Sometimes, with the agreement of the council, we may let homes outside of these schemes. When this happens, we follow our Access to Housing Policy, which explains how we do this fairly.
Rent to Buy offers an affordable way to step onto the property ladder. You can rent at a lower cost while you save up to buy the home later.
The Right to Shared Ownership scheme allows some customers living in rented homes to buy a share of their home.
With a mutual exchange, you can swap your home with someone else and take over their tenancy. We can support you through this process.
