A win for North Star at the North East Energy Efficiency Awards
On Thursday, 26th March, our Asset team achieved a fantastic result at the North East Energy Efficiency Awards 2026.
North Star was named the winner in the Regional Large Scale Project (>250k) category for our solar panel scheme delivered in early 2025 with Consult Net Zero, Anelec and Heatpac. The project saw several homes in central Middlesbrough fitted with solar PV panels, helping to reduce fuel poverty and improve energy efficiency in homes that are typically more difficult to upgrade.
We were also pleased to be Commended for Regional Landlord of the Year.
The event at Ramside Hall brought together housing associations and North-East businesses leading the way in energy efficiency and was attended on behalf of North Star by Jason Crews, Director of Assets, Property and Sustainability, and Paula Aungiers, Asset and Sustainability Manager.
It is great to see our work to make customers’ homes more energy efficient, more affordable to run and more comfortable being recognised and to see the excellent work happening across the region.
