SCRUTINY NETWORKING EVENT 2019

North Star’s Tenants Voice Scrutiny Panel (TVSP) held their first Scrutiny Networking Event back in October 2019..

The SPOOKTACULAR, Halloween themed meeting gathered 6 housing associations and their scrutiny panels from across the North of England.

The event allowed for staff and tenants to get together for the first time, network and share best practice.

Working together in the future means that tenants can join forces and undertake some larger pieces of work for housing association tenants and really showcase the voice of tenants from the North.

Feedback from the event was excellent and TVSP are looking forward to the next scrutiny network which will be hosted by Beyond Housing.

Scurtiny embraces digital during covid

While some of North Star Housing Groups’ involved tenant groups usually rely on face to face meetings, this has been challenged by recent events and the Covid-19 pandemic.

For the first time ever their Tenants Voice Scrutiny Panel (TVSP) were able to carry out a short online review of North Stars Out of Hours Service.

TVSP reviewed the responses to a large tenant survey that was carried out and looked at information from the contractors who were bidding for the new contract.

TVSP met on Zoom to interview the new potential contractors and to co-create a new Service Level Agreement with North Star Staff.
