We’re excited to share that North Star Housing Group has been shortlisted for two Investors in People (IiP) Awards for 2024: Best Culture (up to 250 employees) and UK Employer of the Year: Platinum (50-249), an award we proudly won in 2021!

At North Star, people come first. Our 2023 IiP report showcased how we empower our staff, involve everyone in shaping strategies, and offer opportunities for growth. Since becoming the first Housing Association in England to earn Investors in People Platinum in 2017, we’ve upheld our high standards to create a supportive, engaging workplace for our team.

In 2023, we achieved an impressive survey score of 827 (the average in the housing sector is 726), with all our teams’ results exceeding the IiP average. Over 98% of our employees said they have opportunities to learn at work, and 100% agreed they trust our leadership.

The past few years have faced us and our communities with incredible challenges but North Star’s commitment to living our values – creative, connected, and courageous – has helped us thrive even in challenging times. Our people’s dedication to doing the right thing, even when difficult, is part of what makes North Star unique.
