Hundreds of landlords from all over the UK entered Number 24housing’s Top 50 Landlords competition, but there could only be one winner. This year, North Star Housing Group, based in the North East of England, have pipped many others to the post and have been awarded the prestigious Number 1 Spot.
The 24housing magazine looks for the brightest and the best in the housing industry –North Star were commended for their IIP Platinum achievement, excellent community investment work and going beyond the bricks and mortar of the housing world. They were nominated and voted for by other Housing Associations. North Star were bowled over to see the comments left by their peers ; “ Great to see an Association delivering great things rather than talking about great things”, “ Small but mighty” and “ Always committed to being more than a landlord”
The winning streak continued when North Star was also shortlisted as a finalist in the Excellence in Leadership and Management category of the Investors in People Awards 2018.
These prestigious awards recognise the very best workplaces in the world – those workplaces that make a difference on a daily basis and highlight excellence in their industry. The culture of shared leadership, co-creation and high levels of trust within North Star has ensured that more people within the organisation get involved with decision-making at every level.
