North Star’s new, modern 2 bedroom homes in Hart Village, Hartlepool, are a dream come true for newly weds Peter and Kristine Davies.
The Darlings in Hart Village is a quaint development of 23 houses in an idyllic setting close to Hartlepool and only minutes from the A19. The scheme, developed by Gentoo construction, is a mix of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bed homes and a small percentage of these new homes are affordable housing. North Star Housing Group own two semi-detached two bedroom houses on the site, and were delighted to recently welcome Peter and Kristine Davies into their new home.
It’s been an exciting time for the couple, getting married and moving into their dream home all in one week. The couple are delighted with their new home and the support they have received from the friendly staff at North Star.
Kristine Davies is a Fundraiser for Dementia at the Hospital of God at Greatham in Hartlepool, and could not be happier with her new home, “It’s like a dream come true getting this house, and it’s absolutely gorgeous! From the lovely village, the great community feel and the stunning house itself – both inside and out – we just love it! We didn’t think it was possible to get such a fantastic, vibrant, affordable rented home like this from a housing association, but they have been brilliant and when you see the house and the area, it just speaks for itself.
“At first I wasn’t quite sure because it meant moving to a new area, but as soon as my husband and I came to visit, well that was it, we loved it and there was no turning back, we knew this was going to be our forever home.
“We feel secure and supported being a tenant of North Star. They’ve been brilliant so far, and we know that if we need anything they’ll always be there. Our Housing Officer Kirsty, and John the Development Officer, were so helpful and have made our whole experience so smooth and pleasant.
“Our new home feels like a lottery win, it really does. We got married and moved into The Darlings within two days and it’s all been a very memorable and exciting experience. We look forward to many happy years here and we hope others are as happy in North Star homes as we are!”
